I can see loads on load boards online that would get me home on time. Right now, waiting for a response from dispatch after waiting 18 hours on a load thats not coming. This not only hurts me but it hurst my children to expect dad on a certain day and then they have to add a day and add another day and family plans get canceled. Communication with dispatch is nearly non existent. I have a right to defend my gift of life just like everyone else. Meanwhile, a key to any other Freightliner will fit my truck door

They have to come to the driver for the key to the lock. If thieves want in the trailer, they cannot get in the trailer.

However, drivers are required to put a heavy duty lock on every load. Company policy does not consider a drivers life!! Example: Drivers are not allowed to carry a firearm according to company policy. I spend more time waiting than driving on several occasions most always! Drivers are required to be on the truck during 34 hour reset. It’s despicable not to pay a man for his work. This means in 20 years you will have bought a truck for KLLM. Shorted on my miles driven average 60 miles per load not counting out of route trailer washout miles they don’t pay either. Those phone calls are as bad as calling AT&T. By the time 2 weeks has gone by you will never be sure if you were reimbursed or not. You’ll make phone calls and send emails regularly just to be sure you are being reimbursed. I’m not going to pay KLLM to drive their truck. Work 7 days a week, average $800 pay because pay check is tied up in lumper fees and trailer washouts.
#Kllm trucking code
FFE is a sister company of KLLM so you can get the gate code to park in their yards in places like North Jersey and Miami. I never worry about parking when I'm in these areas. Besides the main terminal in Jackson, Ms they have ones right outside Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, and Los Angeles. You can use PC whenever you need and they don't have driver facing cameras. All and all I would say if you want to run and have great home time this is the place. I stay out for 7-8 weeks and take two weeks off with no problem or call from the company asking when am I coming back. For every week out you get two days off up to fourteen days. If your truck breaks down they hop on it and send someone immediately or send you to the nearest shop. Dispatchers are responsive day and night. Sometimes you have to pay for lumpers but when you send the macro in you'll get the PO within 30 minutes. The equipment is great most company trucks are 2020 and newer. I haven't talked to my dispatcher in a week. If you're doing your job right they don't micromanage you (unless it's a Tyson load). KLLM will constantly keep you running and most loads are drop and hook so you rarely waste time at shippers. I went to their school and drove for a year.
